Transfer Process
The transfer process must meet certain academic conditions for the necessary documents to be sent to SETAI for evaluation and approval by the Academic Office.
- Incomplete Degrees. Students who have attended other recognized seminaries/universities and plan to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree at SETAI may have up to 25% of the total program credits at SETAI recognized. Only courses meeting the following criteria will be transferred:
- Correspond to an equivalent academic degree as per the previous institution’s catalog or course syllabus.
- Are no more than seven years old.
- Are identified and approved by the Academic Administration.
- Have a grade of at least B- (2.67) for master’s level and B (3.00) for doctoral level.
- Meet similar requirements within the program.
- Completed Degrees. Only nine credits may be transferred.
- They must correspond to an equivalent academic degree as per the previous institution’s catalog or course syllabus.
- Credits to be transferred must be no more than seven years old.
- They must be identified and approved by the Academic Commission.
- They must have a grade of at least B- (2.67) for master’s level and B (3.00) for doctoral level.
- They must meet similar requirements within the program.
- Grades obtained in transferred courses will not be included in the calculation of the GPA.
