Use of the recording studio
Objective
The IATS recording studio has the objective of offering the adequate environment for the realization of audiovisual productions necessary for reports, promotions, documentaries, among others, which are indispensable to make known the teaching-learning process that takes place at IATS.General Norms
The IATS Technology Office is the one that administers and reserves the recording studio, coordinates the tasks of programming, reservation, maintenance and adequacy of the same. It also supervises the use and maintenance of the equipment assigned to the recording studio. All users who reserve the recording studio ARE RESPONSIBLE for any anomaly that may occur such as theft, damage to equipment, etc. (there are security cameras to ensure the protection of the studio).Services and Users
The recording studio is at the service of our academic community that requires its use, with previous reservation in the Technology Office.Reservations
To use the recording studio you must complete the “Recording Studio Reservation Form” in its entirety including:- Brief description and purpose of the event to be held; as well as the dates, schedule, estimated time of use and services required.
- Commitment of responsibility for possible damages caused to the equipment.
- Commitment to deliver the recording studio in the same condition in which it was received.
- Contact telephone/email
- Your full name at the end of the form which will serve as your electronic signature.
Restrictions
- Recording studio equipment may not be removed from the space in which it is currently located. If you wish to make changes to the position of cameras, background, lights, etc., you must specify this on the Recording Studio Reservation Form.
- The recording studio will not be available for activities not directly related to IATS. If there is an exception, it must be requested in writing at least 2 weeks in advance to be evaluated and voted by the administration of the institution.
- The recording studio will only be available during working hours.
- Only those who are to be part of the recording should be present inside the recording studio.
- The Technology Office will NOT be responsible for editing your production.
- You must provide a storage device, either an external disk or flash drive, where you will be given a copy of the footage.
Duties of Users
- Refrain from ingesting food, beverages, candy or gum inside the recording studio (no exceptions). Violation of this policy may result in denial of admittance.
- All recordings must be in accordance with the values and philosophy of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Ensure the conservation and proper use of the equipment used there, taking into account its fragility and cost.
- Immediately report to the Technology Office any failure detected in any of the equipment in the recording studio, describing the failure of the equipment, thus avoiding responsibility for the malfunction. The cause of the failure will be evaluated and reported for repair.
- Respect the reservations of all users.
- Assume due composure, according to the type of scenario they represent.
- When in doubt about the operation of the equipment, request assistance from the Technology Office.
- Turn off all equipment when you have finished recording, including the air conditioning system.
- When you have finished your recording, accompany the Technology Office staff in the inspection of the following equipment:
- 2 Sony a7 IV cameras placed on their respective tripods.
- 2 lavalier microphones and the Rode Wireless GO II transmitter.
- SD and CFexpress Type A memory cards
- CFexpress and SD card reader
- Apple 11″ iPad Pro
- 4 Godox lights (spotlight and backlight) with remote control
- Intel NUC 11 Performance mini Desktop Computer
- LG 27″ monitor
- Logitech Mouse & keyboard
- Krokit loudspeaker
